Well, in just a few weeks time I'll be 60 years old, boy doesn't time fly by! It feels like only yesterday, I was leaving school and looking for that first job.
I wish I'd have known then what I know now. It would have saved a lot of hard work and even more worry and anxiety over the years.
I wish someone had took me to one side and explained that there is nothing new in this world and that rather than charging forward down unknown paths the intelligent people look around for expert guides.
It took us many years and a lot of hard knocks to learn that lesson.
However once we had finally learned it, we have never forgotten it.
Today the life we lead is because we found and used some truly amazing guides.

I know you will agree with me that a 60th birthday is something special and over the past few months Yvonne and I have talked about what we should do to celebrate it.
We considered taking a cruise or an extended holiday. We talked about having just a small party or having a meal at home
We also considered spending it in our house in Florida. But I felt I'd like to spend it in the UK.
As we talked about the birthday, we started to remember different times over the years. We talked about my childhood, when I was a champion fish gutter and chip maker, ( My dad had a chip shop)
